MISSION: The mission of the Sequim Community Orchestra is threefold:

1. Education in orchestral music and performance for musicians of all ages.
2. Entertaining and informing our community through orchestral performances.
3. Supporting strings education for students in the community.

The SCO is a charitable organization promoting the teaching and performance of orchestral music. Our strings education program, the Peninsula Community Youth Orchestra holds string classes for school children and supports music education programs in public schools. The Sequim Community Orchestra program provides a community orchestra open to beginning and intermediate players of all ages and presents performances and informative programs for the public.

The Sequim Community Orchestra is approved by the IRS as a charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations and other support are welcome and may be tax exempt.

Under the direction of Anne Gantz Burns, the group meets weekly in Sequim. SCO performs for the community three times a year.
