Formed in 2012, the Sequim Community Orchestra has grown to around 60 musicians, of all ages, who come together to improve performance skills and to experience playing in an orchestra. The Sequim Community Orchestra is a friendly, non-competitive ensemble that performs orchestral music for the community. We welcome amateur musicians who perform an orchestral instrument.
We are a training orchestra. Our focus is on the musical development of our orchestra members. Whatever your experience, if you would enjoy honing and sharing your skills, we invite you to play with us. There are no auditions. We double wind parts, but reserve the right to limit the number of wind players on each part. Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 7pm to 9pm, at Swisher Hall in Sequim (Sequim City Band rehearsal space). Rehearsals will commence on Tuesday, 16 September.
Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is expected. We request advance notice if you must miss any.
The Sequim Community Orchestra performs three times a year.
